What makes Theater Amsterdam a unique event venue?
Theater Amsterdam is a high-end event venue located on the waterfront in the Houthavens area. With a Theater Hall, Black Box, Foyer and Vide, the venue is suitable for conferences, corporate events, product launches and large-scale productions.
How many guests can Theater Amsterdam accommodate?
Theater Amsterdam is suitable for both small and large events:
- Theater Hall: up to 1,100 guests
- Black Box: up to 2,000 guests
- Foyer: up to 800 guests
- Vide: up to 300 guests
Where can guests park?
Guests can park at Minerva Parking next to the venue, located at Koivistokade 36 in Amsterdam.
The parking rate is €5 per hour with a maximum of €30 per 24 hours. Parking spaces can be reserved in advance for events.
How does loading and unloading work?
There are two loading and unloading areas:
- Foyer and Vide: via the Expedition entrance on the right side of the building
- Auditorium and Black Box: via the loading dock on the parking area on the left side of the building
Loading and unloading is only allowed after registration and vehicles must leave immediately afterwards.
Is loading and unloading allowed during the event?
During plenary sessions in the Theater Hall, loading and unloading is not allowed due to noise restrictions.

Is there support during the event?
Yes, a duty manager is always present during the event, as well as during setup and breakdown, acting as the main point of contact.
Can I deliver materials in advance?
Yes, deliveries can be arranged up to one day before the event, upon prior agreement. All materials must be removed after the event.
How is safety organized?
A certified emergency response (BHV) team is present during events to ensure safety and assist in case of emergencies.
