In these divided times, many people believe that open dialogue and discussion are the only ways to heal a wounded country. Comedians Hasan Minhaj and Ronny Chieng disagree: hate is the answer.
This is not one of those tours where two friends put on a show together so they can enjoy a nice holiday on the side. Ronny and Hasan cannot stand each other. For one night only in each of 19 cities, they will air all their grievances live on stage — about America, each other, and each other’s entire family tree — in front of a paying audience.
The format? A debate to the death. Think of a CNN presidential town hall, but even more outrageous and with even less decency. It is a competition to see who can sink the lowest.
Minhaj and Chieng will go head-to-head on some of America’s most pressing topics: presidents, war, the economy, immigration, infrastructure, food, dating, family values and, of course, the looming race war.
This is not a call for peace. It is a call for pettiness. Are you in?
