In 2023, we had the honor of hosting many different types of events. Groundbreaking technology congresses, inspiring business networking drinks, and even immersive music festivals - 2023 was a year bursting with energy and diversity at Theater Amsterdam.

Before we dive deeper into some of the most memorable events of 2023, we would like to take a moment to express our gratitude to all partners, suppliers, clients, and colleagues. Your dedication, creativity, and passion are the driving forces behind every successful event we realized together.

We are proud of all the events that took place with us over the past year. Every event, large or small, contributed in its own way to a sparkling year. In this blog, we discuss a few of our favorites, in no particular order.

ADCN Awards: An evening of creative fireworks

In 2023, Theater Amsterdam was the proud stage for the Dutch Creativity Awards, spotlighting creative talents from various disciplines. This event, a celebration of innovation and artistic excellence, brought together an impressive variety of creative works, selected by a jury of 130 professionals. 

ADE with Charlotte De Witte: three days, one unforgettable experience

During Amsterdam Dance Event, Loveland transformed the theater into the KNTXT Turbo Club, a techno paradise where Charlotte de Witte enchanted the audience with her 'Power of Thought' EP. More than a club, it was an experience, under the guise of Tacos, Tequila & Techno, the doors were also open during the day with an exclusive KNTXT shop and Mexican Cantina. It was a celebration of music, community, and the unparalleled energy of the Queen of Techno.

IT4Kids Gala: 10th anniversary gala

The IT4Kids Gala was more than an evening of glamour. It marked the 10th anniversary of an organization dedicated to underprivileged children. The evening was a beautiful example of how events can be used as a powerful tool for social change. With over 1 million euros raised, this gala showed how community, generosity, and celebration can work together for a noble cause.

Google Cloud Summit Benelux: the future of technology

The Google Cloud Summit was an showcase of innovation and progress. This is where the brightest minds gathered to discuss the future of technology, with a focus on AI, data, and security. There were countless inspiring keynotes and 25 breakout sessions, covering topics such as AI, data, and security.

Theater Amsterdam facilitated both the physical gathering and digital participation, allowing participants from all over the world to join. We look forward to future collaborations and hosting more events that bring technology and creativity together.

Amsterdam's birthday: an ode to the city

The 748th birthday of Amsterdam was a festive occasion honoring the city and its rich history. Mayor Femke Halsema opened the event, which marked the kickoff of a year full of festivities. The event was a vibrant start to the anniversary year Amsterdam 750.

The event offered a taste of what is to come, including a sneak preview of the spectacular opening concert in the Ziggo Dome, planned for October 27, 2024. The afternoon was further enriched with performances from the Amsterdam cultural scene. We look forward with high expectations to the many events and initiatives that will lead us to the 750th birthday of Amsterdam.

Gran Turismo World Series Showdown

This event marked a new era in the world of sim racing. With cutting-edge technology and live streaming, we created an experience that thrilled both participants and global spectators. It was an event that merged the boundaries of digital entertainment and physical events. 

Viewing Daily Paper

Viewing Daily Paper was more than just a film screening at Theater Amsterdam; it was a celebration of Amsterdam's creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. This Amazon Prime documentary, following the founders of the iconic Amsterdam clothing brand Daily Paper, provided a unique insight into their journey from ambition to realization. 

The premiere was a gathering of friends, family, and associates of the brand, testifying to the young, culturally diverse, and dynamic nature of both Daily Paper and our guests. We are proud that our state-of-the-art facilities and atmospheric ambiance contributed to this event, where fashion, culture, and film came together.

Benefit Event Mean Well 

The Mean Well benefit event at Theater Amsterdam was a heartwarming initiative that showed the power of community and social involvement. This event, supported by Mean Well Europe in collaboration with the city of Amsterdam and Amsterdam Impact, focused on promoting inclusive and sustainable enterprises in the region. 

At Theater Amsterdam, we believe that every event is an opportunity to inspire, connect, and innovate. As we look forward to 2024, we remain committed to providing a stage for events that not only entertain but also enrich and transform.
