A million reasons to celebrate
540 guests, a spectacular reveal, an atmospheric dinner and a vibrant afterparty. At the IT4Kids Gala, entertainment and gastronomy came together in support of an important cause.
To celebrate its tenth anniversary, IT4Kids welcomed 540 guests to a sold-out Theater Amsterdam for a spectacular gala evening. Through entertainment, inspiring stories, a star-studded dinner and several auctions, more than €1 million was raised to help physically and financially vulnerable children access sport.
A festive welcome
The evening began in the Foyer, where guests were welcomed with drinks and appetisers. From there, they made their way to the Auditorium for the official opening of the anniversary gala.
Stories that make an impact
The programme looked back on ten years of IT4Kids, while putting the foundation’s mission firmly in the spotlight. Personal stories showed just how important access to sport can be in a child’s life.
After the opening programme and entertainment, guests were treated to a spectacular reveal: the 50-metre-wide projection screen opened to reveal the Blackbox behind it. Here, the evening continued with hosts Kees Tol and Barbara de Loor.
Dinner and entertainment
For the occasion, the Blackbox was transformed into an atmospheric gala setting. Guests enjoyed amuse-bouches followed by a three-course dinner created by Theater Amsterdam’s Chef Daniel Braun in collaboration with Triptyque. Throughout the evening, the courses were interspersed with spectacular performances.
An auction led by Pauline Cramer was another highlight of the evening. Combined with an online auction held in the run-up to the event and various fundraising initiatives during the gala, it helped raise a record-breaking total of more than €1 million.
Ending on the dance floor
After dinner, guests returned to the Foyer, where the elegant reception setting had been transformed into a vibrant afterparty. Guests danced late into the night as the DJ brought the evening to a celebratory close.
The IT4Kids Gala showed what can happen when a meaningful cause, a strong programme and a carefully designed guest experience come together. An unforgettable evening with an impact reaching far beyond the event itself.
